I have been in the market for a good stripping basket, but I did not want to deal with the hassle of lugging around a bulky, waist style basket.

I think I found one.

Any one try these out yet?

From William Joseph-

" Our take is that stripping baskets are a necessary pain in the butt?, they are bulky and you are always reaching for them or pushing them out of the way, it's always something. Well around here we feel the best piece of equipment is the one you take for granted, it is always right where you need it and never where you don?t , it works every time without requiring much thought. What we have just described to you is the William Joseph Stripping basket. It acts as a wading belt, a utility belt (holds tools, water, etc.) however, when it is time to fish, simply give it a yank and out pops the basket, ready to catch your line."

The WJ Stripping Basket is a great idea and is actually very functional and such. However, it is a little small for my tastes. I much prefer the larger JW Outfitter Basket.

I've never used a basket but this looks like a great item to include for tossing bugs.

Sparky, do guys have this in stock(downtown)? I have not seen or tried the JW Outfitters, is it bulky or ?????

Summer run, if you get a chance, try it . I played around with it for a short time at a shop while back and I really thought it was comfortable. It also doubles as a wader belt.

The Morning Hatch had them a few months ago. I was really looking at them hard. I'll have to get one sometime.

Divers-
The downtown store has both items in stock. Don't get me wrong, some people really take to the William Joseph Stripping Basket but when I have the JW Basket cocked of to the side it stays out of the way while giving me a large area to play with.

The best thing to do, is stop by the shop, have one of the guys take you up to the roof with a rod lined up so that you may try out both baskets.
