Just got back from our Gig Harbor Puget Sound Anglers meeting and was shocked to find out that the fellow that was lost on the Wynoochee was a friend and fishing partner of mine. The one post that I had not read had givin his name but I had missed it. Everyone in our club was in shock....this could have happened to any of us, whether it was on the river or out in the ocean. If you knew Craig, the one thing that he would be saying to himself now is "Man I am going to miss alot of fishing now". Craig was as most of us are, a never say enough is enough, when it came to fishing. At most of our meetings we would have to cut Craig short with all his fishing stories because he had so many built up in a months time. He was a great guy and in the few years that I have known him, fun to be with.....he will be missed!
There is going to be a memorial for him this Saturday at 1 pm at Powers funeral home. E-mail me if you would like to know the particulars. I am still in shock. frown

I too had an older fish partner pass on sudenly and did not find out untill after the fact on a river,by another friend.Hits you like a ton of bricks.I carved his name in a tree on his favorite hole where i used to fish and run into him the most.Kind of keeps him around. frown

I was at the meeting also and it certainly sounds like he was a well liked person. The gasp of the crowd when they found out said it all. I wish his family and fishing family well. It's a sad reminder that Mother Nature rules all in the end, and is not to be taken lightly. Be safe everyone. Jack

Steve,
I am sorry about your friend. This might be kinda wierd but I think about him even though I don't know him, just because I am only one year older. It is just really sad. Do you know if they ever found his body? I am sorry about your friend. frown
