*WARNING*
I am going to discuss hooks, and please only reply with your experiances with gamakatsu hooks, if you have dont have good things to say about other brands of hooks do not reply!
i do not want another pissing contest/ hook war.
thanks

On my last few packs of gamakastu hooks i've noticed a large number with sharp points inside the eye of the 1/0 and 2/0 bronze hooks, this causes the line to get nicked up really bad, anyone notice this problem with gammies?
really starting to piss me off!

btw justin i cannot wait until you get off your lazy ass and mail me my sample smile

i've used gamakatsu hooks for years and have never noticed a problem like that...ive used other brands along the way too and ive never had problems with them, just a dull hook once in a while, nothing a sharpening stone couldn't fix.

Actually just bought two packs of bronze 2/0 and 3/0's at Fisherman's yesterday. After looking at the eyes more carefully, I do notice that they are not bent around the shank as well as I'm acustome to for Gammies. No protruding sharp points to speak of inside the eyes, BUT, those eyes not being fully bent do worry me...

Actually upon further inspection I see it's only one hook that looks problematic...so it hit the trash wink

well i cant see sharp points.. but when i pull the line for a bait loop style tying.. it does funk the line up bad so i am just guessing its a sharp point doing the job
