Well- heading out to Westport again to visit the in-laws and will be packin the fly gear this time. As such, I am looking for any helpful information on where a wadin flyfisher can enjoy a few mornings that include the possibility of landing a few fish???

Any suggestions would be most aprreciated.

Thanks,

Bring along your Clousers, and other baitfish imitations, find a dock with a little room, and cast to some silvers and silver jacks right there in the Westport boat basin. Also, If your so inclined you can rent crab rings, and get crab bait from the Charter offices as well.

John's River is probably just a trickle right now. Even at normal flow, I'm not sure what species (if any) are present. If you look at a WA gazetteer, you'll see a couple of other rivers in the area. A little scouting might just bring you a nice reward, but with the drought conditions it's hard to say. Good luck. smile
