January Program/Guest Speaker: Brian Simonseth, member of the Stillaguamish Implementation Review Committee (SIRC)

Presentation Title: Goals, activities and future plans of the Stillaguamish Implementation Review Committee
Brian will describe the past, present, and planned restoration activities of the SIRC. Among the projects Brian is actively involved in are "the Little Deer Creek Erosion Plan" and the Gold Basin Slide restoration, both important for the restoration of Deer Creek summer steelhead habitat.
The SIRC is a citizen-based committee dedicated to restoring and maintaining a healthy
Stillaguamish watershed. The SIRC provides feedback to SWM staff on development and implementation of watershed plans to protect water quality and restore fish habitat.
The mission of the SIRC is to maintain a healthy, functioning Stillaguamish Watershed by providing a local forum in which agencies, organizations, communities, and the public can engage in a collaborative watershed based process of decision making and coordination.
"Background information on the SIRC is available on the internet at: http://www.co.snohomish.wa.us/publicwk/swm/salmon/stillyplan/sircmember.htm\'
