I somewhat agree and I'm trying to be patient, but all signs are pointing to this deal moving forward. The team is essentially sold at this point and simply awaiting authorization from the NBA's Board of Governors.

What makes this more interesting is the $30 million guaranteed to the Maloof's regardless. I trust that Hansen & Balmer are savy enough businessmen as to not toss that kind of dough down the drink. League sources are also indicating that the NBA Board of Governors are expected to vote unanimously to approve the deal.

I am excited for the return of the Sonics, but I'm most looking forward to the potential of the NHL in town. Love me some slap-shoots, fighting and Canadian pilsners!
