Just curious what everyones favorite springer plug was. I'm partial to the chrome and chartreuse in a k-14 kwikfish.
Won't be long, and we'll be knee deep in spring chrome(i hope)

Sounds like a 'plug' for spin-n-glos. wink

K-13 to K-15 anything with chrome and chartruse or pink polka-dots.

Did have one good day on a certain new flatfish color, but it had a skunk on it the rest of the season.

Tip: Try the plugs you aren't sure about on your buddy's rod and stick to the the producers on your own rod ... evil

Any K-14 with the hooks replaced with a 6 bead chain (in the middle eye) to a big ass treble hook with a cheater bored onto it. Lots of ButWax. wink

I'm not picky, no, not at all, so long as it is a silver and chartreuse K15.

Yet another vote for silver and chartreuse K13 & K15 but we also did well with silver and hot orange. And there were a few days when anything we used worked. Sadly, there were also days when nothing worked. Prawn spinners also produced at times.

Silver and chartreuse Has usually been the best for me. Anywhaere from 13's through15's depending on the water. Last year though a Silver with red head K-15 was the hot plug. I guess that is why I have a box of 80+ Kwikies and then I can experiment beathead Always eem to go back to the old standby's though Siler and Chartruese smile

Fickle pickle or silver & chart. K-14 is my best all around size, though 13's and 15's also get used.

Last year fishing in a pod of 30-40 boats and everyone was using Chartreuse and silver including us.We got and saw no action all mourning. I had a custom painted one that I hadnt used yet. I put it on my buddys line as he was a newbie and didnt know any better. That plug got nailed 5 times that day until the newbie snapped it off on a nice Springer mad
That was the only one I had at the time. Now I have 4 of this color on all sizes laugh

Silver body, Cerise tail, black tiger stripes, Black head with cherise eyes.

Yes it works thumbs

Last year I fished with a local guide out of Cathlamet. He uses mostly silver/chartreuse & silver/red like everyone else. He changed up the size of the plug (K13-k15) depending on the speed of the current/time of the outgoing tide. He tried to stay away from the k13's because of problem with getting proper action when wrapped with sardine filet. Incoming tide it was off the anchor & went to trolling, but w/herring. He felt the color of the kwickie was not near as important as the scent + sardine wrap on it and that the kwickie was running straight & true. He changed the sardine wraps every 15-20 minutes so they were always fresh. I'm no expert on springers, saltwater fishing is mostly my game, but he got us into 16 take downs that day.
