Well after about a dozen trips and a bunch of close calls everything went my son's way.
He made a fine shot on a respectable blacktail.
While not the bruiser we were chasing, he is much larger that his first buck.
With this, his second archery buck and his countless nice salmon & steelhead, all I can say is I am one proud Pappa.
I am so fortunate to have my son with me in the outdoors.
I figure that for every day he is in the hills with me or in the river, that is one more less chance for him to end up in trouble.
My boy is growing up....



Kid's having a very good summer vacation!

Next up for the kid, high country blacktails then Oregon Muleys...
Maybe a fish or two thrown in for good measure.

Nicely done guys! I'm pretty impressed....he's been at it 2 years and has harvested two respectable bucks with no lost animals. Good luck on your remaining hunts (like you need it) and I am looking forward to more photos.
