I know of a few spots around here in southeast Washington to score a cottontail once in a while. I'm wondering where else in the state has good rabbit hunting. I did my fare share of hunting rabbits while growing up in the mid-west but haven't done much in a long, long time. Did not have the greatest bird season this year and still have an itch to hunt. Anybody got a decent gabbit location?

We saw beagles working rabbits near Ridgefield on public land.

We used to hunt cottontails where Kelly Point Park is today.
Any Columbia River bottomland with patches of blackberry here and there was the type of terrain we looked for.

I had a black Lab that was like a dozer going through those blackberry patches. Fond memories.

Tye was barking for the longest time last week - and he's really not a barker. Eventually, he came to the door with a bunny in his mouth. I think what happened was the bunny was on the far side of the invisible fence then made the mistake of crossing onto Tye's side.

I remember seeing Sno Shoe rabbits this fall while hunting Klickitat, not many. Kind of neat when the snow falls, they turn white, then the snow goes away, you just hunt for white spots in the woods

I use to shoot quite a few on the yakima rez. I had a couple friends that went last week. They had 6 between them. They just walked them up.
