Well spring has sprung around here.

I spent today scouting for birds.
Here are a few I found for Saturday's opener...

Went out again today (Thursday) looking at birds...

We saw a bunch of them today, but what was even more rewarding was seeing the big blacktail buck that eluded us last year...
Didn't get him on film.

Driving back by the lake 5 minutes from my house.

Sweet pics
I wish I could get over to easterw Wa for a trip this spring but fear I am work screwed again. last fall my brother could see 91 turkeys on his property at one time and my kids were throwing crcked corn to about twenty of them. Not there now but would think they wouldn't be fare away. Are you going to AK near the end of june. If so we may be meating.

What county are you taking the pictures in? Not too far of a drive if you are seeing blacktails. Nice pictures.

Wasn't a trick question, was just wondering which species the birds were. Don't quite look like merriams.

Very cool. I have a place that I can hunt south of SMF. I haven't made it down yet. A friend of mine has taken a couple in S CA already. The pictures he posted of the county were incredible. Lots of open land. Do you have hogs where you are at?
