trying to assemble rvrfshr spinners help

so my first attempt at assembling one did nopt go soo good. i figured out the order to place the parts but to the loop and twist off above the cleves i am not able to get it without bending the shaft of the spinner. anyone done this before that as some insight on a good way to attempt this>?? thanks

Go to Steelhead Journal. There is a video tutorial using rvrwhrls as the example. I was having similar problems and Todd told me about it.
It's easy once you see it done. I tied up 3 dozen while my son was in his guitar lesson.
