Best CnR Net - 02/13/11 01:15 AM

Been nice if they asked first, but seems like someone needed my old net more than I did. Now I'm looking to replace it. The Frabill website is miserable. So I before I cruise my local mercantile, I thought I'd better check in with the experts. Any thoughts or suggestions on a decent DB stowable net for CnR?

For the drifter, I would look into the Loki brand.

That's the one TRBO runs.

For the sled, it's a long-handled Beckman all the way.

We have been using Frabill's conservation series nets for the last 2 years and have been very impressed with them. My favorite one is the true trax net. You can slide it open with one hand and it locks into place every time. It is a nice feature when you are trying to video with the other hand. We have also netted a few ocean fresh coho and very few if any scales were damaged by the net. 2c.
