SKAGIT REPORT - 10/30/11 11:37 AM

Decided to brave the rain Saturday and it was well worth it. Besides the fact that I ended up slipping off a log and re-dislocated my knee.

We got into bright fish not too far below Birdsview on Friday in the heavy rain.
Seems to be a tweaker free zone as I left my driver's side window down from dark to dark at the Birdsview launch and while there wasnt' much to take nothing was taken.
We were the only two boats on a nice drift. Lots o eagles and ospreys and a decent amount of silvers and dollies. And, one really nice nate summerrun for my buddy Doug on a extra large size hoochie jig. Nice surprize.
Too wet for pics.

My bad! We were fishing Friday ( NOT SAT) and it was pouring really good. Very hard to fish because of all the big azz leaves in the river.

Yeah the leaves are cramping my style too. Need a couple cold nights and a big blow of wind,

Based on a couple of recent posts, it looks like coho fishing is becoming a contact sport!
Thanks for the report and good luck with the knee.
