Capt. Wes was one of my best friends all through grade school and high school. We grew up less than a block apart here in Hoquiam. I had coffee with him a month or so ago and I tried to talk to him about yelling at crew members. Guess he didn't listen.

Used to happen to me every other trip out. Until I switched to making my own spinner wire spacer's & droppers. No more down time........gotta treat the gear with a lil respect though when ya net fish or bring in for re-bait or making another run.Good luck,

Is fp the only one who checked out the UCI driftnet comm fish videos?

That was the real impetus for starting the thread. Just tried to open the discussion with a way for us sports to more tangibly relate to gear SNAFU's.

My brother called me last night to turn on Nat'l Geo Wild channel which was featuring Fish Wars in UCI. I don't have it on my cable package, so I got on the net to check out any available streaming episodes. These 2-3 minute snippets is all they had.

I gotta say it was entertaining and educational to watch the dark side at work.
