Go or No Go... eating fish from lakes

Go or No Go... eating fish from lakes - 04/29/14 12:40 PM

I would like some opinions or web sites that may give reliable data concerning water quality of lakes and the fish that come from there. I was having a discussion with a friend and we where talking about Lake Stevens kokanee fishing. He was told by people we know that live near Lake Stevens that they would not eat fish out of that lake. Does anyone have thoughts or know of website(s) that have reliable information on how safe or unsafe fish are from area lakes?

As long as shad is not included in the prohibited list, I am happy (not sad).

I am sad however about the advisories against freshwater bass. Would love to kill more of those buggers for the table.
