Puget Sound Litigation Meeting...Tues 7/29 Olympia

For everyone that can make it:
Next Tuesday in Olympia there will be a senate hearing to discuss the recent Puget Sound steelhead litigation and settlement with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The hearing was call by Senator Kirk Pearson (R-Monroe) The hearing will also include presentations from WDFW, Puget Sound Tribes, NOAA Fisheries, recreational fishers, and fishing businesses. This is a golden opportunity to tell the committee how you feel about this issue.

Imagine that.

The tribes appear to have turned in their straggling Puget Sound HGMP’s running for years and the Feds are starting the permitting process with a comment period starting on July 25, 2014 which happens to be 4 days(if anybody is counting) before this senate investigation hearing.

Simply amazing how these things just seemed to fall together after all these years.

It could be quite the show with the right questions asked.
