Fiberglass drifter questions

Fiberglass drifter questions - 08/15/14 11:21 PM

So I found what looks to be a decent deal on Craigslist. Dude wants 1k for the boat & trailer. I couldn't jack up the trailer to check the wheels/bearings out.

A lot of the plywood under the fiberglass is all punky. I don't know much about fiberglass boats (or any boats) so I'm not sure if that's a problem or not. Paint is peeling on the outside and there's some cracks on the inside coat. A friend warned me about UV rot... I didn't see any. Would appreciate some input.

If it's the deal of the century and you steal it out from under me just invite me on a trip sometime.

Thanks

Not a deal. Once any boat gets to the point that one has it is strip & dispose time.
