Whidbey coho

Couple questions for you. If you had to pick, what two week block or so would be prime for beach casting for coho off Whidbey? Trying to get out there a couple times when the odds are solid.

Another question for you...good chance I'll also be there at the very end of September. Fish still coming through then? My wife has a couple cousins coming in from out of state, and I'm looking out for my best interests by suggesting a fun getaway (where I can fish). Looking at beach houses to rent, should all of these spots kick out a few fish - Maxwelton Beach, Useless Bay, Mutiny Bay?

Definitely a yes through Sept although winding down. As we get closer there will be more discussion re: beach fishing Whidbey or use the search function.

Labor Day weekend. If for two weeks, either the weekend before or the weekend after depending on reports (IMO - pick after this year). Bush or Lagoon point. Flood tide just after dawn if its possible. Two set ups: Whole herring and float; plus any pink or green 3 - 4" Buzzbomb or Zinger. Actively fish until the lure hits your rod tip. Active fishers can cast the bombs; spectators can tend the herring. September still has plenty of fish - no worries.
