Don't just love thieves?

Ya won't have to worry about my split-sided Clam digging waders and beautiful white Air Jordan shoes in my Clam digging pictures anymore.

Some low life mofuker stole them off my boat yesterday as I was air drying them before bringing into the shop.

Now where am I gonna find another pair of size 13 Air Jordans for 7 bucks again? And the old pair of waders that I had to split the side open so I could get them over my bulging right side?


Someday I'll catch one of them slimebags out back of the house!!!!

Well had you foolishly decided to join us, not only would you have had to walk further than you wanted to barefoot, you'd'a run out of daylight, struggled for 20 minutes to find a clam in the dark cuz your buddy dropped the dam lighter for the lantern in the surf, then after finding someone with a lighter, have the propane can run out of gas after only 15 minutes...

Back to the truck for a new gas can, beg/borrow a book of matches from someone in the parking lot, struggle to get the dam thing lit in a howling west wind, then finally back on my way, only to get distracted watching an owl on the hunt hovering for mice in the dune grass... eventually hike all the way back to the surf, calling out to my compadres in the dark like a lost penguin chick looking for its mother... WHEW! found 'em!

Finally get the deed done with decent illumination.

We each got our 15, but it was probably THE most inefficient cluster of a clam dig I've had in 40 + years.

Dam things were sure tasty once we got home.

Ya missed out on the raw necks drizzled in lemon ginger sauce... and the raw diggers served as sushi with coho eggs... fresh Dungeness crab... smoked salmon salad... and of course fried clams.

Worth the effort? Yah yoo becha.

Gonna let someone else do the cooking tonight... at the Sons of Norway lutefisk dinner.

Geez, I finally made a right decision. Glad on that one!

Lets see:

1. Can't walk
2. Don't carry matches
3. Can't see in the dark
4. Don't have boots
5. Won't eat raw Clams
6. Won't eat fish guts
7. Don't carry xtra propane

Maybe a few more reasons I can think of for staying home last night.

I can install one that won't be stolen, and even check it for you once in a while. About $70 for a basic set-up including a memory card. It will also take photos in the dark.

We (the bank) had a house near you, foreclosure. About 5 blocks away. There was a small storage shed that we cleaned out. As soon as we did a squatter moved into it. Proceeded to lock it, then they broke the hasp, then ran into him literally one day when I was checking on the property, face tattoo and all. He didn't like me starting to draw my pistol. We screwed the door shut and that finally stopped the issue.
