Best guides who fish the Solduc - 02/03/16 11:09 AM
I have a friend who is looking to book a trip to the Solduc. Who in your opinions are the best Solduc guides besides TRBO? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

Well, if I were to hire a guide for the Sol Duc and his name wasn't Bob Ball, I'd hire either Mikey Z or Carl Windle....but you're not going to have a bad day with Bill Meyer, Larry Scott, Matt McCuloch either.
All of these guides have their favorite runs on the Duc..and I'd pick the guide depending on what run of the Duc you wanted to fish and possibly how you wanted to fish it (flies, bobber dogging, beads, worms, floats, etc).

Skinny Bob Ball will get you into as many or more than any of them and is a great guy to spend a day on the river with..if he is booked which most likely is...bob kratzer or Larry Scott...

Ryan Celesta is probably the best kept secret on the peninsula. Doesn't advertise because he don't have to. Hit him up. 360-640-3360 Mike Z , Bob Kratzer , Larry Scott, all good guides. Just depends on what stretch of river you are looking to float

Sounds like good old fashioned drift fishing or boon doggling, aka side drifting, is becoming a lost art?
