Campground, hotel, abandoned parking lot? Having a hard time finding something close to the Lewis for camping. Got a guided trip setup at the end of July and need somewhere for base-camp. I'll have my Truck and raft, 4 people in the group.

Thinking we'll end up staying on the Kalama somewhere if we can't get anything closer.

There's Lewis River RV Park on 503.
It's just downstream of the Golf Course takeout (unimproved) and just above Island Boat Ramp (paved).
The RV park is a typical cheesy, private park but it has a camp store with ice and beer smile

Put in at the base of Merwin Dam and take out at Golf Course if you can do unimproved.
Access to Island Ramp can be sketchy at low water esp for a large sled.

If you've never done it, this is a very boring float.
Lots of frog water.

There's another very cheesy private RV Park at the mouth of the Lewis.
Boat ramp...not sure if they have hookups.

Good Luck
July is a good month for that river and it has a summer flow like a winter coastal stream, which is nice.

Quite a few summers around on the lewis. It's a dull float like dd said. Most of the fish are concentrated around the hatchery. Mike west?

Thanks dd, I'll strap the trolling motor on the pontoon.

Ya eswan, going with Mike West, been fishing with him a few times and it's a always good trip, fish or not.
