Seems like I should be fishing the Skagit by now....anybody have an update as to when or if we might see a C&R season this year?

Everything awaits feedback from NOAA review. My hope is that it is completed by end of next week and a season is opened almost immediately.

Any ideas what days or how many. I heard 14 days. Straight days in a row, weekends only?

What a far cry from the days of the 40's - 70's......I'm not sure in those days that this great river was ever closed??? Always, some kind of fishing allowed!!

What Sky Guy said. Expect a mid-March opening, exactly which day is still unknown. NMFS is about finished with the required EA and BO. Presumably they can write the ROD in a couple days and Barry Thom will sign it. At that point WDFW can issue the season opening.

As I understand it WDFW has hired the necessary personnel and are ready to go...
