Okuma Guide Select Classic Rods - 09/16/18 10:15 PM
I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to replace my primary downrigger rod. I heard all the cool kids are using these new Guide Select rods. Anybody have any first hand experience? I'm looking at either the 9'6" or the 10'6", but usually prefer shorter rods for ease of connecting the release when on a bouncing boat.

I really like the Lamiglas Classic Glass rods for downriggers. Only 8'6" or 9' though.

Daiwa has some great 10'6" options.

You must have a rod that costs at least $400 for downrigger fishing. Light weight and sensitive are must haves for that application.
I've never fished a guide select rod on a downrigger but did fish some side drifting. Seemed like a decent fishing pole.
