Chehalis River Dam public meeting tonight!

There is a meeting at the Montesano Courthouse tonight for discussion of the plan to build a dam on the upper Chehalis River . There is another tomorrow I believe in either Centrailia or Chehalis, that one will be attended by folks with money to "save" the I-5 freeway from flooding. These are the people that built all that commercial garbage in a known floodplain and want all of us to pay for it , wether in money or salmon runs. The meeting is at Centralia college in the Bowman Rotary Banquet Room, 5 'till 8p.m. I hope someone from the Chehalis River task force will be at these meetings. If anyone cares about threatened Chinook runs I would advise going. Meeting tonight is from 5 'till 8 p.m.. I know it's a pain to attend these, but Melanie is going after a 10 hour work day, we will both be there. If anyone has some good points to make discuss it here so we can all benefit. Bob R

Someone should mention that a dam will not help the Orcas. People go nuts about those things.
