South of Westport Report - 11/13/18 03:37 PM

Went to Los Barriles for the Salt Patrol tournament. Great fishing and nice atmosphere being a small town.

You can see another one lurking in the water.

Tired out by the last fish.

I love East Cape and the staying/fishing at Hotel Palmas de Cortez. There's also a trip with THE REEL NEWS beginning the day after Mother's Day in 2019. Lots of PSA/CCA Puget Sound area anglers. Great value for the price, and incredible fishing for multitude of species. My favorite is roosterfish on salmon gear, but it's hard to beat a striped marlin when there's a hot bite on.

Great pictures but it didn't seem you were taking that beach derby very seriously! Nice to have met you and your lovely wife! Now, if I only could figure out how to post pics......to include dinner at the Smoke House featuring Pete's yellowfin in three presentations.

Tug 3, Nice to know. My goal is to catch the 30-40 pound Roster that tormented me at the dock all week.

Nice to meet you too Larry! All these years I have been on here and have read your posts, so its nice to put a face to the name.
