Good idea. Curious how that is going to work. Are they keeping the rest of the public out until after 12:00 pm? Or is it just a certain portion of the drift?

Kids only 500 feet down from the intake creek until 12.

Don't you mean the creek that discharges from the Ponds. Not up river at the Intake? It's best to make it crystal clear to everyone so you don't have any disgruntled people driving in from a distance.

And does that mean that adults can fish above the creek?

It's a great idea. 30 years of experience tells me you better have it crystal clear.

Yes, Fishing for juveniles only 500 feet below the creek mouth flowing out of the ponds. The State will be supplying enforcement.

Are fish stacked in there? I'm assuming chrome bright ass kickin summer fish? What a great idea to expose another generation. If that doesn't hookm for life nothing will.

At one time I proposed a similar concept for Minter Chum. Kids only, 8-Noon, on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays when the chum are in. Basically November. Where else can a kid get a reasonable shot a salmon, especially from the bank? Close to an urban area too.

Seemed like a great way to get the kids not only out fishing but catching a big fish.

Good idea Carcassman, especially if we could keep the snaggers away so that the kids learn proper methods!

I know you are well meaning, but Tokul Creek is not fishing. It's lining and jerking out fish before they can do much of anything resembling a "play". The kids are better off at Reiter where they can at least learn the concept of drift fishing, not to mention re-tying, because they're going to lose plenty of gear.

Good Luck at Reiter.

"Drift Fishing"? I was told from a bobber fisherman, that is a lost art. I bet more bobbers were at Reiter than anything else. Too easy.
