Bill McMillan Fly Wallet - 03/20/20 05:48 PM

Anybody know this guy? Is he still among the living? His fly wallet is in Canada, here's a note from the person who has it:

Hi Terry
Here are a couple of photos of Bill McMillan’s fly wallet. I have no idea who I got it from or when. I’m lucky that when I opened it, this post it note was in it. The leather is quite thick and the lambs wool isn’t stained. It looks hardly used and is very well made. The leather strap is not cracked. Unfortunately it is not stamped with his name. I would be asking $225 CDN.

I have a couple pics of the wallet, can fwd them to whoever...THe note says" Bill McMillan Washougal River WA State Steelheader. There are no flies in the wallet...

Holy [Bleeeeep!]! A revolutionary out SW WA! Developed and written lots! Been around WA a long time. Not sure if he's still around but if you have his wallet I'm sure he would like it back.

Bill and Mark Noble made those fly wallets and sold them at Mark's Greased Line Fly Shop in the late 1970s until I'm not sure when. I'm not sure if Bill would want to buy one of his own fly wallets back, especially at $225 CDN. Bill lives off the S. Skagit Hwy at Savage Creek.

No response? I'll suggest the guy in BC keep it, he loves it and thinks the craftsmanship is awesome. Any idea what these sold for back in the day??
