Short report on 2 lakes close to where I live..

Lake Aberdeen and Lake Sylvia....Wow, have never seen this few of people, on a opening day, in my 50+ years living in this area.

I knew because it was a "middle of the week opening" that the numbers of people might be lower than many years but compared to many years, it was "almost no one".

Parking was no problem, very few boats, and most people were spaced well apart.

Wish I had the time to go to Failor Lake and the ponds along the hiway in the Elma area....maybe someone else might report on these and any other lakes.

I don't know, but WDFW license sales have got to be at a "all time low"....

Stay safe.....

Glad to hear it's not a zoo. To your point, Saturday will be the true test. As long as we can keep it sane, we should be allowed to keep fishing. Fingers crossed.

I plan on hitting both the Vance Creek Ponds, and the Shouweiller Ponds this weekend. Went scouting both ponds last Sunday and it didn't appear that the Vance Creek ponds had even been stocked yet. Didn't see any fish rolling, or cruising the banks. At the Shouweiler Ponds, saw plenty of bass and bluegills to keep things interesting if the fishing is horrible at Vance Creek.

Glad at least YOUR lakes were open. I would say that the one I visited was impacted by ALL of the people you thought would be on your lake.

In my opinion, the virus will return and we will get shut down again. There is so much pressure from the right to "get working again" that it is inevitable.

Wave 2, 3, 4 will happen ad nauseam........

Yesterday was fun though. Caught about 50 trout and enjoyed the water. Got home before the thunderstorms and generally had fun. One other person on the boat and we did the social distancing thing. We didn't make out or even snuggle.

I went out to Aberdeen Lake in the afternoon and was shocked how few people were out. I prefer to hit Aberdeen Lake in the afternoon on opening day and it is usually still has plenty of fishermen, and just people out walking and getting some air. You would think there would be plenty of walkers since everyone has been cooped up for so long, but there were none. It was very unsettling to say the least.

Fishing has been good on Hicks lake. Real busy though. Definitely not great social distancing happening.

They planted today, almost a fish every cast near the launch.
