Not catching enough chinook because the fish aren't there? Lets increase the limit to 2 hatchery chinook increasing encounters with wild chinook. Yet I still can't take my nephews cutthroat fishing on the Stilly because it is closed to decrease encounters with wild chinook. But hey, WDFW for the win! beathead

Precisely my thought yesterday when a buddy told me. WDFW is just the worst. I can’t wait to move out of this state.

I grew up in Arlington fishing the Stilly for cutts. Never once did I hook a chinook on a skated muddler or a reverse hackle spider. Shocking. And that was back when they were actually around.

The fish are not here in the Canal. Limit is four South of Ayock.

There a more fish caught by bankies on the Skokomish Flats than out on the open waters.

Edit: One more thing. The Canal is MA 12. South Sound is MA 13. WDFW is wrong with the map posted on twitter about shellfish.

I grew up in Marysville and live in Arlington now. It kills me to tell my nephews we can't fish there yet. We could walk to the river from their house. I hope the water conditions cooperate when it opens in September because I didn't get a chance to fish it last fall. I love throwing those same reverse spiders on a floating line.

I went to the lighthouse at PNP yesterday evening on the incoming tide. No action. I saw one fish jump down the beach most likely being chased by the seals. No action on the bank or the boats offshore. Saw a few boats fishing Norwegian Point.

One more embarrassment. Guess if one gets a ticket for crabbing south of the bridge the defense will be that he was crabbing in MA 12 which is open.
