2020 Snoopy Rod Classic - Cancelled - 10/30/20 12:37 PM

Due to a variety of reasons, the 2020 Snoopy Rod Classic has been cancelled for this year.

It may come back in 2021...or it may not. Only time will tell.

I'd still like to organize something to generate some good will funds for those in need in the town of Forks. I think in the past we've given to the Veteran's Home in Forks (Sarge's Place) and have toyed with the idea of getting some money to those truly in need.

My ideas are this:

a) Collect $50 entry fees for anyone wishing to donate to the cause. Your name will listed (or an anonymous) for accountability in the funds collected.

b) Open this up to any financial donation from any person, group or business. Maybe someone needs a tax write off. I dunno. Again, all donations will be listed (or as anonymous) for accountability in the funds collected.

c) Offer up items in a blind auction. If and when I receive new/good items to be auctioned, I'll put up just the items photos in another thread and people can PM me their bid. I would say this process would go on until the actual date of the SRC of the first Friday in December.

I will list *every* dollar donated either by donations or auctions. Depending on how much (or if anything) is collected, we could do a poll to see where people want that money delivered too in Forks.

I will personally see that the money goes to where it is suppose to go and offer some type of proof either in receipts, emails, letters, etc.

If you'd like to enter in this non-existent tournament, donate some funds, or have something you'd care to have auctioned off, please PM me.

Please note that I sole rights to acccept/deny items to be auctioned. I'll pretty much say now that I'm looking for new and almost-new fishing gear, tackle, and hunting stuff. Sorry, but no pinners, used bikes, golf clubs, space heaters, etc.

What say you all?
