Just checked with area 6 office in Montesano and they say no rule changes in affect for Area 13 salmon fishing. Someone went through a lot of work to laminate a notice and make it look official to spread misinformation!

Area 13 closed for 2 days starting August 29, not September 29. WDFW admitted to the mistake in what was an overreaction to reports of low salmon abundance. It was reopened on August 31.

Back in the day I volunteered at a Bayshore hatchery. There are concerns about returns. Water temperature and low flows have the fish holding to the North.
Oysterfest weekend will limit my fishing. Hope to be out on the water again soon.
