Too bad the decision makers at DFW decided to violate Grays Harbor Policy by allowing 5 straight days of gill netting. What kind of back door idiocy will be next.

WDFW at its finest.......shut all the Chehalis tributaries to any sport fishing, then use some POS made up finding in the GH Policy, thats never been used before, to give the NT netters a extra day on the Chehalis........grrrrrrrrrr

Never a bad place to start (it's where you almost always end up when something stinks), but in this case, I think it's more about what I'll call "selective" staffing of the regional offices and F&W Commission. Somehow, people sympathetic to NT gillnetting always seem to end up in the leadership positions that pass down these decisions. It starts at the top, and the roots run deep.

At the end of the day, it surely does come town to somebody's money, but I think nepotism and cronyism in leadership is the predominant obstacle to fair resource management.

Change needs to happen at the top. I hope Inslee does not run in 2024. Also need to be careful what you wish for.
