I've heard of many good things about Rainshadow fly rods. Thinking about may be ordering an 8wt steelhead/salmon Rainshadow rod from Greg's Custom rod's. What's your opinion on Rainshadow fly rods and Greg's Custom rod's craftsman ship?

I own 3 Rainshadow fly rods, and I wonder why people get other brands.
Greg has been making rods for years, and his craftmanship shows. Before you have him build a rod for you, ask why you are having a custom rod made. Is it to own a nicer looking rod, better performing rod, or a fit that you can't find any place else.
Having a custom rod built is nothing like buying a production rod, you will be buying a rod crafted for you, by the artisan that you pick.
