Cedar River Fishing - 06/05/04 05:37 PM

I know that it is no secret right now but, I went to the Cedar yesterday and did a little nymphing. I saw a lot of anglers and everyone was having limited success. I caught about 10 fish one over 20". I didn't see or feel any of the 5-7 lbs fish that have been reportedly abundant. I was impressed with the similaities the Cedar had to many rivers in Montana. I was nymphing with a beadheaded prince, pale morning dun nymph, and beadheaded pheasant tails. Just thought I would give a report of my first time on the Cedar. slap babble

MM,

You probably did as well as anyone could, especially for a first timer on the Cedar. Most really large trout in the Cedar are probably there on a spawning run. Since most trout have spawned by now, those big boys and girls have probably headed back downstream to Lake Washington before now.

Sincerely,
