Kamchatka - 09/22/04 09:10 PM

Early this past summer, KK began a thread asking about folk's plans for special fishing trips this season. I responded that I was going to the far northwest Pacific and fish Kamchatka. One of you asked me to post some photos when I returned. I've got a bunch of digital pics, presently in a file that I can run in software on my computer and the program that came with my digital camera. That is the extent of my technical know how. I'd be happy to share photos with you, but I need some help, either loading the whole file to a place where you can watch the slide show or post a few individual pictures. So far I'm clueless on this. You may have noticed I don't even use an avitar, just in case you think anybody can figure it out.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

KK,

I don't have WinZip at home, but I think I can download from the net. Also, at home I have MSN, but I've never done the passport thing, but I could give that a try and see how far I get. I will try something, or at least contact you with more questions.

H2H,

How long will you be there? I can't really get away until maybe Oct. 7 - 11.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Hi Salmo,

If you already have a MSN account. Then that should be your .Net passport account also.
You can create a MSN groups page to upload your photos to share with everyone.
After you sign into your MSN account.
Go to http://groups.msn.com/ and then click on "Create your own group" link under "Welcome to MSN Groups" category.
From there you should be able to just create a groups page and then upload photos to the page you created.

Hope this helps.
I for one would like see pics of Lenok trout,
maybe Cherry salmon etc.

Homer, got a report from yesterday on the Rhonde. Fish are showing. My friend caught two both on the small side.. On drys however. He started out with a strike indicator and it got hit twice. Switched over to a small bomber in black/ yellow/ black - presto. Both fish from same run near mouth. Says they looked like snake fish on a detour ( about 24 inches ) We will be on the Clearwater monday, tuesday- then over to the Rhonde to meet some other guys from Nevada. Will be in a newer chevy 4 door 4 p.u with shell

OK, I've uploaded 61 photos from Kamchatka to the following web page: http://groups.msn.com/salmopage
Well, it didn't create a hot link here like I intended, but since I've never done this before I'm not really surprised. Duh! It is a hot link after all. Now if it only takes you there you can share vicariously in the trip.

Also unfortunately, I uploaded the photos before creating the photo album and cannot move the photos into the album where I presume it could be set to perform a slide show. For now, you have to click on each individual photo. I'll keep at it and maybe get it half right eventually.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Good Job! Salmo! thumbs
Great photos!

H2H,
Yeah, the photo album is empty as Salmo mentioned that he uploaded photos prior to creating an album.
So all of his photos posted in "Pictures" page not in the album.
Click on the "Pictures" and then click on "show photos" link above the Kamchatka album then you can see all the photos there.
Hope this will help.

Guys,

Sorry about the photos not being in the album. If I cannot place the pics in it, I'll delete the album to avoid the confusion.

Thanks, Summer Run, for the help. Now I want to take the cropped photo of that fat rainbow and make it an avitar so my posts won't be so bland.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

KK,

I thought it'd be cool to have kundzha avitar, as there aren't many pictures of them around here. But with a handle like Salmo g., I pretty much gotta' use a rainbow photo.
