cortland percision change a tip??? - 07/17/07 10:52 PM

just picked up the new cortland percision change a tip flyline in a 6wt

line seems to be nice, alot better loops the the 444 change a tip thats forsure.
anyway im stumped...the floating tip is LONG!!! just as long as the main body of the line...am i missing something here???

i looked in all the boxes they had and it was like this in every set...?

i have no idea why this is, and it doesnt say anything on the website.

wierd???

yeah its with the loop.

i also have the rio and my floater is the same length as the rest of the tips. but its in a 8wt so idk if that makes a difference.

but its a good 40' floating tip? i thnk that would be kinda long for a tip?

and its also very thin almost like a running line...it gradually tapers thicker by the loop just like the main body of the line as well.

that is what makes me so confused

My rio floating tips is 15', just like my other tips... I'm not sure how that would work. Maybe your long floating tip turns your entire line into a double taper floating line.

What do I Know, I've so new to this I've never owned a double taper line.

its not tapered like a double taper...its actually just like a wf line with a loop on its exactly like my main body of my line...?

idk i still havent found anything on the sight saying what its for.
