Tuesday Puget Sound sea-run cutt bungling.... - 04/29/09 03:45 AM

Saw sea-run cutts boiling on chum fry a long cast offshore from a nice Eld Inlet Beach Tuesday evening. I tied on a Bob Triggs' Chum Baby and cast and cast and cast for more than a hour -- until no cutts were boiling on the chum fry.
I then turned around -- and found the cutts eating chum fly behind me -- just a foot or two off the beach.
Sheesh!

Been catching sea-run cuts and dolly's for years off of the west side of Camano... folks have a place with beach access... lot's of bait fish and cuts w/in pole length of the beach...stilly to the South and Skagit to the North...plenty of action in Saratoga...can't wait for the months ahead. Tight lines....

It looks like you're got a great spot -- the parents did a good job getting beach access!
