That's an especially good method with polar bear hair wings because of the hair's slippery nature.

Very nice. I was able to purchase six flies tied by Ed himself from Jim Adams a few years ago. I gave them to Les Johnson as a birthday gift (he is also a big fan of Haas' winging technique).
