Anyone familiar with the winter king fishery around PA? Is it worth the effort? Or stick to steelhead?

you might check to see if its even open last i heard north sound closed until feb 12 or 15 not to sure which

It opens in mid feb. I was just wondering if it is worth the effort when its open.

It re-opens on Feb 16th, and can be quite good, if the weather cooperates. I think Sekieu opens then too.

Doesn't sekiu have a derby during that time? I heard it is a lot of fun. How does the weather need to cooperate? Just allow you on the water, or more than that?

Yeah, the weather has to just let you get out. This is winter, and you know from living up there, the strait can be REALLY nasty. Be safe.
