Smelt???

I'm not sure if they're in or not, but I crossed the Cowlitz Way bridge this a.m. and there was a half dozen birds diving on the west shore just upstream of the bridge and a couple down below working. Lets cross our fingers.

I have heard that there is a very small pilot run in the river. remember though that it is only open for dipping on saturday.

I just spoke to Bob's Sporting Goods in Longview and they said the run still has not entered the river.
