Hey Os and Ryan, quit being so jealous! We are very proud of our Blazers.
Our only prob is 'Sheed has been in a shooting slump. That's why he missed with the 'throw in the white towell to mid-court' surrender signal and hit Sabonis in the face instead. This team has more togetherness than the press gives them credit! In fact, Bonzi Wells purposely tore his ACL so Smith and others could get more deserved playing time. Now that's love - and chemistry. ...
Actually, it's true that anything could happen in the playoffs. The Blazers could take a game from the Lakers. But with the not-so-secret-anymore NBA mandate of having the refs give strong advantage to home court teams, 'marquis' players and 'marguis' teams for better TV ratings (includes Shaq, Kobe, and the Lakers all), and that we can't stop those guys even without their refs help, I just don't see an upset. Of course I didn't think they could come from being down 3-1 to an almost incredible upset in game 7 at the Staples Center; but for a 4th quarter
CHOKE. ...
Filthy rich nerd Paul Allen is definitely way into winning the NBA championship! I bet him learning it's not for sale is really bugging the crap right out of him about now. Bob Wit**** too! The ensuing houseclean in the off season will be very interesting indeed. I just hope they give a little more consideration to character and chemistry this time. (Same for Erikson in Corvallis, btw). ...
As for the Sonics ... I doubt they will find a taker for the spent Ewing. And Payton is about to do a meltdown. Of course, not to worry super Sonic fans; you have Wally "Wonder?" Walker to guide your ship ... into an iceberg

As for the NBA? I played B-ball and have been a near life-long fan of the league. But in recent years I've finally gotten turned off big time by the WWF type of set up home court happiness for the 'fans'

via the rediculously obvious reffing bias. It's now as obvious as the pro-wrassler punch that misses by 5" and the reciever falls to the mat holding the missed facial! Only the NBA has to allow TV replays to prove it! And of course the character of the jerks that are making multiple millions a year to play is downright assinign. I still watch the NBA, only not as much. I no longer
get upset if the team I perfer to win loses - especially on the road against an average 12 point advantage margin given the home team by the refs, by mandate from the offices in New York. Gettin pretty ugly. And gettin time to watch other sports more than the NBA! - RT
