Just thought this was too beautiful not to share with ya'll...
Been seeing this girl for awhile and have taken her fishing a few times with little success as i am fairly new to river fishing as well (just enough to make me dangerous). Well she's been egerly picking it up & wanted to hook some fish, so in the last month or so I got some guided trips and a westport trip so she can actually feel a fish tugging on her pole! OH BOY...now she wants to go every weekend, which is great for me! She keeps saying "what the hell have you done to me?!"
Well...last night (after a few cocktails) she says "I'm calling in sick tomorrow and going fishing"...knowing damn well I can't call in as well. I give her the "yeah-yeah"...and tell her a few spots to go and what to kinda use and so on...not thinking she will actually get up at 4am (it's 11pm and she's put down 5-6 gin & tonics). Sure a $hit, she fets up at 4:30, grabs my gear, her pole, the map I drew her and takes off! So as I get back to my beauty sleep for work, I'm thinking that this is just too weird...she'll never hook a fish without me, but god bless her for having the gumption to try it! .....BIG PAUSE.....
So I get this call about 8am..."I caught one, I caught one!!!"..."but it got away...I need more shrimp, gotta go".
So now here I am at work, with my girl out there trying her bestest to slay dinner, and i'm not sure whether to be absolutly stoked or scared that she is gonna out fish me from now on!
Anyways...just had to share!
