Suggestions for Great books and video's on learning the basics.....

I'm open for all thoughts and suggestions on any good video's and or books on learning the basics of salmon-steelhead fishing tips and techniques.
I also plan on hiring out some guided trips to learn as much as possible.
I currently get STS magazine and have found some great articles. However, I'm kinda a hands on type of learner. I've been out half a dozen times the last couple of years but have come to realize that I waste alot of time not knowing what to do- I want to get better and knowledgable!

In your STS there's an order form for books from amato. Get Color Guide to Steelhead Drift fishing by general Zog. It's a good start. There are also some good spoon, spinner and jig fishing books available from Amato. I'm not much on videos. The best way to learn is on the water though. Keep putting in your time, it will help.
