Lessons Learned While Fishing

I enjoyed this topic so much over at IFish, I thought it would be kind of intresting and funny to see it here. Although I dont think it would be as humorous as the large Washington population here is much MUCH more intelligent (and thus less likely to do moronic things) then our Oregonian brothers.

A couple of mine-

Takeouts look much differnt in full daylight then they do at the crack of dawn.

Always check for your keys before you shut the trunk door.

When you're as clumsy as me...you can never have too many extra dry clothes.

A floattube IS NOT fully inflated untill the nylon cover is TIGHT.

Anchors for 29' Almars are HEAVY!!

One can of Coke is not enough to get you though a July day on Lenice Lake.

Im sure Ill think of more...

NEVER horse a fish on a losing streak!

One lesson that everyone should agree with is.....You don't go throwing bobbers when the other guys are plunking! And you don't go plunking when the other guys are throwing bobbers. Just some tidewater rules to live by. ........Fishhead Vic

Never let more than 3 people know your very best fishing holes:

Otherwise, they aren't the best fishing holes anymore!

Never swim with hip boots

Never follow anyone who says "I think it's shallow enough to cross here"

Never wade deeper than that last hole you patched in your waders!

Never go fishing again with your "Buddy" who say's "I'll pick you up at 4AM and shows at 6:45... more than twice in a row!

1. Never think that you are the best or you can get a fish out of a certain hole, Because some cracker will allways show up and put you to shame.

4. and my favorite one, "what do you mean that fish isn't ready to net..... oops, the dropper line stuck in the bag of the net....oops, the hooks just got stuck in the net....oops......, hey you wanted to release that 45 pound chrome bright king anyway, didn't you?"

Never try to lift a chum out of the water with your rod, snap!!!

If the water looks too high and fast to launch the boat (or wade), it probably is

1) if you ever go fishing with Joe tell him to meet you at least two hours before you really want to meet
2) If you have a red Jeep dont let anyone puke on it the two colors dont mix
