I haven't seen them myself, but from all indications, it looks like the rivers there are BLOWN out.

The Hoh is ideal down around 1,500cfs, right now, it's up at 21,600cfs and still climbing. You can check the level here:

Keep in mind the Hoh goes out on a thick fog (in other words, first) so the Sol Duc and others will be fishable sooner. If it stops raining today, they will probably be OK in maybe 4 or 5 days...

Anyone with more experience want to speak up? Rich??

If you go up there On Monday thru Friday it may be you could hit 4 rivers all in absolutely perfect condition since they clear at different rates!
Plan on the Duc first as it clears faster than the Calawah these days for some unknown to me reason. Then hit the Calawah around the ponds next day and the forks hole area of the bogy on the next and if your realllllllly lucky the Hoh will come in before you leave! Bob at the sporting goods store can fill ya in on the directions to these places but you may already know!

Hope this helps.
Best day on the Hoh was 3000cfs this year but it was pumping!!! And I watched B Gray do a 360 in the middle of the Oxbow!!! Hes got balls as big as church bells!
I think 1500 is getting to much clarity. 2000 is better even up to 2400. After that its still awesome but the flows pick up and the parking garages move abit!

Hey Bob D,

Is that Bruce Gray you are talking about? If so, was the 360 on purpose, or no choice given the water and strokes? : )

As for how muddy the rivers are; right now Jeff is out with a shovel and bulbs planting some potatoes in some of them. They should have taken root and sprouted by the time he scoops them up in Gray's Harbor and PS. laugh
