Cowlitz? - 11/20/01 04:52 PM

I would like to make a trip to the Cowlitz this weekend, but haven't heard if anything is going on. Has anyone tried lately?

I've heard a lot of good reports. Barrier Dam down for late silvers and Blue Creek down for early winter steelhead. Have a good one.

We had 8 hookups and 6 silvers boated Sunday, below Blue Creek. Enjoy the crowds... frown

Bugleman, The fish we put in the boat were all bright. I hope to try it again tomorrow, hopefully the rain will let up a tad, and it won't be too off color.

7500 CFS isn't considered high for the Cowlitz. The average flow for Nov. 22nd over the past 64 years is 8500 CFS. The Cowlitz is generally fishable up to 12,000 - 13,000 CFS. This USGS site gives you current river flows with averages.
