Smelt on the Cow

Went out and worked it from just above the I5 bridge up past the Carnival Market. Too much water going on. Had to work hard for our limits, finally doing best at the boat ramp just above the I5 bridge with 2-6 fish per net. Many spots were lucky to get 1 fish per 5 dips. Damn cold.

get that horse to herd em in close to shore.

Last I heard that horse was dead and hanging from a whirly bird!

Didn't have any horses with me, but there was a lion working the middle.

The other thing that I forgot to mention was the guy standing out there in his blue jeans and light jacket up to his waist. I'd have to be panning (successfully) for gold to do that.

How do smelt taste?

With a combination of their tongues and their little smelt noses, I guess. gooose is the fisheries biologist expert, though. Let's see if he knows. gooose?

DJ, I believe Gooose works with shelled critters. He may also moonlight as a pearl diver.
