Has anyone been doing any flyfishing in the salt?

I normally flyfish the waters of Mexico and the Bahamas in the winters here. Although I am tempted to try setting up my downriggers for the upcoming blackmouth opener just for kicks.

Hey Sid, where do you fly fish in Mexico? Have you tried Cozumel at all? I have been looking for guides.

In puget sound there have been a few of us fishing off the beaches. SRCs are slow, due to spawning right now, and the silvers are occasional, but the season is closed.

I'd either stick to the rivers, or tie flies for the up coming trout season.

wind has been terrible this year, limits days on the salt water, but there is fish to be caught, flounders and piling perch provide excellent fishing off docks and into rocky water theres cabezon and greenling, copper and quilback rockfish if there feeding shallow. Ben

Rockfish: Any suggested patterns for perch? I'm interested in some new (at least to me) local flyfishing experiences.
