Fibreglass "Spiders"

Fibreglass "Spiders" - 05/20/02 07:29 PM

The Old Eastside is starting to show Her age. There are a number of spots which have "spiders" or an external cracking. Any ideas as to how to arrest and repair this would be greatly appreciated.

I would call Novus, but I dont think they do this kind of glass wink

Are you looking at cracks in the gel coat? If that is the case then there is really not much to worry about. Epoxy patches are relatively easy to do because of the chemical reaction that takes place between the catalyst and the resin. The hard part is making it look OK when youre done. If it is the gel coat--there is not much you can do about it that would be cheap and fast.

Call Ron out at Lavro Boats at 360-794-5525. He or his brother probably originally built your boat.
