Westport Fishing trip claims three - 06/03/02 01:00 AM

Three soldiers from Fort Lewis, a First Sergeant and 2 Sergeant First Class soldiers, died this weekend while fishing out of Westport. Boat problems, no VHF radio, not sure of all the details. I pray for the families and know that the military will help them through this terrible time.

This is just the start of the season. Please let us all learn that Safety must be first priority.

Lost a club member earlier this year to a drift boat accident and now soldiers that I knew.

God Bless America

The Army also stated that a soldier was lost this weekend in Gresham, Ore.. Apparently the death involved falling from a cliff.

Wiser...was the cliff fall the one you rendered assistence to emergency medical crews on?

FJ...out.

That's the same one. Twenty one year old from Ft Lewis died in fall and twenty nine year old survived with critical spinal injuries and crushed pelvis.
